About us
Chartered Occupational Psychologists. Thirty years of practice at the most senior levels of organisational life.
What distinguishes us is not the breadth of what we do. It is the depth at which we do it, and the professional accountability behind every piece of work.
HCPC registration means professional accountability, not just expertise. Every assessment, every recommendation, every piece of work carries the weight of a regulated practitioner who can be held to account.
If you have worked with psychology consultancies before and found the output difficult to act on, the feedback generic, or the practitioner relationship a revolving door, you will quickly notice the difference with Wharton Global.
From the founder
I have spent my career trying to understand what makes people effective at work. That curiosity has never left me. What changed, over time, was my patience with how the work was being done.
Occupational psychology is a data-rich discipline. The insights are there if you gather the right information, interpret it rigorously, and apply it honestly. Too often that standard was missing, and the gap between what was possible and what clients were actually receiving is what prompted me to start the practice.
I wanted to build something expert and independent. A place where the quality of thinking matched the importance of the decisions we were helping people make, and where clients could trust what they were hearing because it was grounded in evidence and came without agenda.
Thirty years on, that still gets me out of bed in the morning. This work matters, the people we work with matter, and getting it right matters. That has never changed.

01
Who we are
We are an independent practice of chartered occupational psychologists and senior consultants. Every practitioner who leads our work is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and accredited by the British Psychological Society.
That is not a credential displayed for reassurance. It means the work is grounded in validated people science, held to a professional standard, and carried out by people who are personally accountable for every outcome.
02
Our independence
We are independent of test publishers. We work across the full range of leading assessment instruments, including Hogan, SHL OPQ, Saville Wave, Watson-Glaser, and adaptive platforms such as Mosaic. Our recommendations are driven by the needs of your organisation, not our commercial relationships.
03
How we work
The people you meet at the outset are the people who do the work. No handovers, no lost context, no reestablishing the relationship with someone new part-way through. One chartered occupational psychologist leads each engagement from first conversation to the final report, building a depth of knowledge about your organisation and the individuals within it that accumulates rather than resets.
04
Psychology through a commercial lens
Occupational psychology is the engine of everything we do. We translate rigorous science into outcomes that human resource professionals, senior leaders and finance directors can measure, better appointments, stronger pipelines, more effective cultures, lower attrition, and a demonstrable return on every people investment the organisation makes.
05
Two clients in every engagement
Wharton Global works for at least two clients in every engagement: the organisation that commissions the work, and the people at the centre of it. Holding that balance with integrity is what the work demands, we have spent thirty years doing precisely that.
06
Working with Wharton Global
We always begin with a conversation, not a proposal. We work alongside you - integrating into your organisation, bringing the right assessment, data and expertise at each stage.
We are direct enough to tell you what you need to hear, expert enough to know what that is, and experienced enough to deliver it with a lightness of touch that makes us genuinely good to work with. At every stage you have complete clarity on where the work stands, what comes next, and why.
